Hello,
New Garmin user here. Like many of you, I used to run with my phone in hand bluetooth'd to headphones until I recently bought a Venu. While I love just about everything about the watch, I noticed there was no audio prompting during my first run which I found to be really upsetting.
After significant time poured into researching here on the forums and REDDIT, it would appear that the VENU does not offer this feature???
A simple audio queue from a computerized voice announcing my mile-splits, average pace, expected completion time etc should be a STANDARD feature for any fitness watch, to the extent that I am disappointed and have considered going back to running with a phone.
Many of the threads appear to be aging to 11-12 months on this topic and I was hoping by now there was an IQ App or widget that provides a workaround? What about about adding the required software in a update?
Please don't mistake this as a complaint, I believe the feature to be fundamental in 2020 when it would appear almost all other options offer audio prompts as a standard feature!
