Open Water for Venue

I can't believe they didn't add a default Open Water app for the Venue. Very frustrating, considering they do have SUP app, which involves "Open Water!!"

Sad.

So do you think technically the Venu would be capable to do open water but they restrict it to make the more expensive watches more attractive?

There a bunch of things involved in OWM that aren't involved in SUP, and OWS is only on "Tri" watches.

- The GPS has to be smarter as the device is under water much of the time

-The external HRM is also smarter as as the signals don't travel that well under water. The HRM-Tri/HRM-Swim/HRM-Pro have a "batch mode where the HRM data is pulled from the band after you get out of the water.

The Venu supports neither function and adding them would be non-trivial.
