Abrupt loss of bluetooth connection on headphones when starting an activity

Hi there, i have my bose soundsports connected to my watch. then i turn on music (over spotify) and can easily listen minutes or hours to music. but woe if I start an activity.. then i suddenly lose the connection and can never re-connect without remove and re-pair. i can especially reproduce this issue as follows:

1) pair and connect to the headphones
2) listen to music and so... but after a while disconnect the headphones
3) turn the watch off and on again (hehe)
4) i cannot reconnect to the existing pairing
5) remove and re-pair instead
6) listen to music and so... but then starting an acticity like running
7) boom: connection lost

i'm on the latest software versions and garmin even replaced the hardware, but that didn't solve the issue. i think it appeared the first time around mid october 2020. i was never experiencing an issue before it just worked like a charm. the bose soundsports work fine with my other devices like Surface Pro, Surface Book, HP Laptop and Huawei P30 - i'm pretty sure it's either a software issue or a hardware design flaw of the venu.

so my question to you: is there anyone else with this issue? and if so, were you able to solve the issue? if yes, how? i found that thread here: https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/outdoor-recreation/f/fenix-6-series/243808/headphones-started-disconnecting-repeatedly-after-12-20-firmware-update/1155115 and i wanted to give it a try, but a have no file for the venu. so if anyone with a lower software version could share their file that would be nice :-)

thx in advance & cheers
