Recovery and aerobic training effect

These metrics are also present in the Venu.

Garmin could easily give it free with a software update.

Because I don't like Strava I look for an alternative way to analyze my trainings.

What I found was a German Company similar to Runalyze (also available in English), which does a great job to visualize my training.

Tredict

In the training chart  you can find a window called  "Proprietary data" where you see your recovery time and aerobic training effect from the Venu...

  • If I am understanding correctly ....I need to use runalyze to get access to training effect and recovery time?

  • No, you have to use Tredict:

  • In Runalyze you can also get training effect and recovery time:

  • that's an interesting discovery, thanks for sharing! i'll give it a try to see if can use that data.
And yes, you're right I'd love Garmin to do something like changing their marketing scheme a bit and providing those metrics to all watches, and instead would differentiate their premium models by different materials.

  • Hey,, I just wanted to thank you about sharing about Tredict and Runalazye, previously I've heard about the latter one but never tried myself. After your post I've registered at both places to decide which one I like more and I love both services. They really gave more meaning to my trainings and make it easier to give idea how it goes.
Being able to see recovery data is also cool, and I think that I may actually pay to Tredict just to see it. If Garmin had such a service to get additional data I could buy it from them, but unfortunately they want us to get Fenixes which doesn't work for me because the lack of touch screen and other things. Maybe Garmin should review their marketing strategy a bit...

  • Have you seen the question with title "Same Venu but different stats on Garmin Connect" from  , it's a very interesting thing about this...

  • thanks , I hadn't see that post before but replied to it now. It would be cool to have that data on Venu and Vivoactive devices, Garmin has a lot of other ways to distinguish Fenixes from the rest. I wish that some day Garmin have fewer watches and focus on creating a better firwmare instead of forking it to dozen devices and disabling features according to price tag and what they believe suits to that kind of watch.
