Venu SQ - Golf course loading

I've got a Venu SQ which I only use for Golf. Every time I play I have to transfer the course details from my phone->Connect to the Venu before I start.

Given that most golf rounds are probably played on golfers' home courses (the club they're a member of) it would be good if that favourite layout could be permanently stored & available on the watch.

When I'm playing golf I don't want to be within a hundred miles of a mobile phone.

Hello! How many courses do you have downloaded? The device allows 6 courses. The device should still have the last course you completed and be able to use without having the phone present. If you have not reached 6 courses on the device, can you delete the main course you want on the device then redownload it.

For that to work do I have to leave the Venu powered up ?

It's usually days between rounds so I've been switching it off.

If the device is powered off and you have not synced the device before heading to the golf course then yes that is possible.

Maybe I should have got the golf-dedicated Approach S10 but I like the colour screen on the Venu SQ and knowing whether or not I'm about to have a heart attack.
