Problems with Bluetooth Update in September - Anyone Else?

I have been having an issue with connection between Garmin connect on my tablet and my watch.  I have T-550 Galaxy Tab A with Android 7.1.1.  I use the connect on my tablet at work because I can not have my phone on me. I have parents that message me during the day, and I need to get notifications that they have messaged me.  So I use my phone and my tablet. Prior to the Bluetooth update in September everything worked just fine.  Now I have an issue where the watch and connect don't see each other if the bluetooth connection is broken (i.e. turning tablet off for 2+ hours or turning Bluetooth on the tablet off).  I have to factory reset the watch, clear the cache and storage of connect, and remove the Venu from the Bluetooth settings to get connection between the watch and the tablet.   Very frustrating because I can't wear my Venu right now except when I get home and on the weekends. I have to use my old fitbit during the day for notifications.  I am in contact with Garmin support about this and a ticket has been opened. Having to factory reset my watch daily and reset it up is a little ridiculous.  Anyone else with this issue since the Bluetooth update in September?
