Garmin Venu, cant end run

I have just been out for a run and the watch will not let me end the run. If i hit the top right button it stops and starts. If i hit the bottom right button it records laps.

I am up to lap 24 now and ive no idea how to stop this.

If i hit the top right button it stops and starts.

Perhaps the button is broken and triggers twice with one press.

9244903 Did you ever get to the bottom of this? Mine has developed this issue though only on an intermittent basis. I have to keep pressing the top-button, sometimes 10+ times, and the activity will eventually stop. I initially assumed the button was faulty but can't seem to replicate the issue outside of a finished activity; the button very occasionally may miss a press but generally works consistently.
