Pool swimming with venu

Hi.

Is it me the only one having missing lap counting when swimming?

In my case it is not something random, it will always happen eventually at every session. I am swimming freestyle, so no "strange" nor variated styles in my case.

Is detecting the change of direction something so difficult for a dedicated sports watch like the venu, so to count all the laps?

I Garmin aware of that? 

I hope they solve that. I think it is behaving worse than my previous wear os watches with swim.com. With the rest of the sport trackings no complains at all. Really happy with the Venu but but a bit disappointed with this and the lack of decent analog watchfaces.

    Totally agree

    I have the same issue so I created a workout using laps then tried to send the workout to my venu and it said not compatible??? Ouch

    I wouldn't expect too much accuracy - just try to imagine how the watch actually measures laps, with different people taking from 15 to 30 strokes per 25m lap, some doing flipturns, some just turning back. It is indeed usually off by a pool in a 2km or so workout on a 25m pool but expecting Garmin to fix it is IMO a bit naive.
