Venu heart rate info is dangerous!

Previously contacted Garmin about the heart rate readings being way off after an update a few months ago. Too low by 20-30 bpm when compared to a chest strap. They sent me another one which had the same problem. I decided to just take it on the chin with this POS watch, but the most recent update made the HR readings downright dangerous.

I was working out using a chest strap hooked to a different device since the heart rate on the Venu is worthless. After a strenuous stint of intervals, the strap told me I was 174 which is too high for me so I slowed down. The Venu said 128.

Anyone with a Venu and a heart condition: DO NOT USE THE VENU TO MONITOR YOUR HEART RATE.

Garmin knows about this and is electing to not do anything.

I feel like there are significant problems with the HRM at times as well...I like the watch and it had a lot of nice features but between not being able to natively read power pedals and the inaccurate HR I may give up and return it.
