Step Tracker no longer working (after factory reset)

Watch is about 1 month old. 2 instances of step tracker being buggy last week. Restarting the watch seemed to fix the issue (does not bring back the steps it failed to count).

In an attempt to identify battery drain issues by factory resetting the watch, step tracker no longer works at all.

I guess I just have to get used to losing a function every 5 days and being left with an expensive paper weight in a month or so.

  • Just go to settings and ensure tracking is enabled.

Tracking is enabled. Just to be sure I connected to garmin express and made sure there arent any updates available. Went for a run, gps picked up the distance accurately but still no step data. I guess this is why it cant calculate cadence data from my run. My Heartrate sensor is also not working. Enabling all day pulseOX also does not work.

  • Are you able to return the watch to the retailer you bought it from? It’s faulty. I bought my Venu at the start of June and (luckily) don’t have any issues like this or the others you have described.

I'm trying to but they're not making it easy.
