Syncing cycling courses to Venu

Hi all,

I'm struggling to get my cycling courses (pre-made routes) synced to the Venu. I can only see the message saying that there is no compatible device, trying in both Venu iOS/Android apps and via Garmin Express. Is it really true? Is Venu incompatible with the courses?

I mean, it's all there. Amoled to display the maps, the memory, storage, processing power, ability to pair with a wireless headset for the audio guides in case the instructions displayed on the screen are not enough. Is there any chance of introducing this feature? I upgraded recently from Fenix 3 looking for a bit of a more smartwatch experience, and I'm not so sure now if this was the right choice.

Agreed. I use dwMap also for hiking courses that I make. Seems like something I should be able to do natively on the watch.

afaik, Venu is not supporting maps out of the box. While it would probably be technically possible to support maps, Garmin uses this feature to differentiate agains their more expensive products.

There are apps in Connect IQ that do the trick. I've tried one of them and noted that the battery performance suffers greatly.

Maps have nothing to do with it, actually. There are mapless devices that support courses, although venu is not one of them.

dwMap for example is providing courses. It is mind-blowing that third party paid apps are providing these functionalities, but we are unable to use the apps from Garmin on Venu.
