Conversation notification & screen on delay

I have owned a Venu for a month or so now having moved from the Polar M600 (android wear).

I like the look of the watch, and general fitness functionality is good however there are some issues which are hard to believe exist in 2020 on a watch that is being marketed more towards the smart watch sector that ever before.

My biggest gripe at the moment is notifications, when you receive a notification you only get the most recent message. If it's a conversation for example there is no option to scroll through multiple or previous messages. How in 2020, on a premium 'smart' watch is this not possible? In almost every case you have to revert to your phone.

Having spoke to people with more basic older Garmin watches this is possible?

Please help if it's something im doing wrong.

My other gripe is the time delay for  the watch to turn on when lift your wrist on third party watch faces.  It only happens on third party faces but there is a genuine delay of 3-4 seconds which is very frustrating.  I'm guessing this is a software issue but needs to be addressed.

Overall the software experience is not good and in need of a overhaul, the menus are clumpy, hard to navigate and unclear.

I'm generally happy with the watch, but it cannot be in the category of smart watch more a nice looking fitness tracker with weak O/S and weak not so smart features.

Please fix Garmin, it's almost embarrassing

Thank you
