Jabra Elite Active 65t earbud

When Jabra Elite Active 65t earbud is paired with my Venu and an activity is started it (the earbud) keeps disconnecting from my phone. I can see the earbud automatically gets added under sensors as well - can it be added only as headset not sensor ?

  • Jabras will cut in and out if you wear your watch on your left wrist. Have to wear it on the right.

  • Thanks Adam.. Will try it.. Curious how its depended on the wrist you wear the watch..

  • The way the Jabras work is that the right earbud connects to your watch/phone/whatever and then the left earbud connects to the right earbud.  So if you're wearing your watch on your left wrist your body will interfere with the bluetooth signal. I wish Jabra would give you the option of which earbud was the "master" earbud.

  • Thanks for the additional info. The issue persist when I wear it on my right wrist as well, however it happens when I start an activity on the watch.
So if The earbud is actively paired with both phone and watch and audio is played on the phone It continues to be heard via the earbuds without any disruptions, regardless which hand i wear the watch. As soon as I start the activity on the watch the disconnection of earbud from the phone starts too - even if I wear the watch on right wrist.

    Bit weird..

  • It shouldn't be dependent on the left or right wrist.

    Try this.

    Trun off your headphone.

Before starting activity turn bluetooth off on your phone.

    Start your heatphone.

    Start activity.

If you want your watch to connect to phone while activity start bluetooth on phone after your headphone start playing.

Now if your headphone supports multipoint bluetooth connection, then on your every notification on phone will connect to headphone.

Hence connect-disconnect cycle. So if not needed keep your phone bluetooth of while doing activity.

    Hi,

    Yes.
The venue recognize your jabra like a sensor + a headphone. When you launch an activity, the watch contact the jabra in priority like a captor/sensor and not like a headphone.

So, to fix the problem, go to the settings -> sensor -> disconecte the jabra like a sensor. go to the settings -> music -> headphone -> disconecte the jabra.

Reset all the configuration of connection between the watch and the headphone and try to connect them together again. When the venu propose you to choose the jabra like a sensor answer NO.

Now, it will workin without any problems.

    Enjoy

Thanks for the confirmation. I know several of the other Garmin devices see the Jabra as a footpod, which causes an issue as soon as an activity is started.
