I really miss this info field from my old forerunner 235. Please Garmin add this info field to the Venu. Many Users will appreciate it. I gave 370 Euro for your product I hope to get the same amount of functions or more than in a cheaper one.

I disagree. Some functions are just a few lines of code. Its blocked in the app not because of the watch itself. Watches are not like shoes. With Venu's hardware I can do the same things like with fenix…
I too am very disappointed with Garmin, as I've just realised, after 3 weeks of using my new Venu watch, that Training Effect is not included. Running is not a big part of my training schedule, and…
Yes, I hope this will be available for the Venu after an update....
Venu/Vivoactive Series are more focused in Fitness/Health/Livestyle (yes, with a mass of sport profiles too) but not especially to training+sport focused. So i don't think that the venu will get these features.
For the same reason, i purchased a Forerunner245 too. This is a great watch with tons of sports features (Trainingload, Status, Virtual Pacer etc...). I am very happy with my venu but i also like to see these features. But i think about to sell it.
The Display is great and i home that in next Forerunner devices at least an option for an AMOLED will be available. Anyway, if i see the features and know that the FR245 is a sportwatch instead a lifestyle/Fitnesstracker/Sport watch like venu... the display is ok for me. I also like the buttons more than touch (better for my eyes without glasses ;) ).
Exactly.
The vivo/venu devices are more of a general purpose watch, where when you get into the forerunners (their name says run!), you get things like TE, and the ability to use things like power meters for cycling, Running dynamics (using a RD pod or external HR with that) etc The higher end forerunners add things like multi-sport and open water swimming (the "tri" watches). Then there's the Fenix devices that can pretty much do anything.

With Venu's hardware I can do the same things like with fenix or frunner. If I like to run and I hate garmin look of watches but not this from Venu then I want to get with Venu all what Garmin can offer for 370Euro watch. Health and lifestyle is also runnig so its not an exuse that one or another watch is for running or not. Even more, the Venus got more options after all that forrunners. But I dont use for E yoga animations. I just expect that such a fundamental function as training effect will be in all Garmin watches - they are all sport oriented.

I too am very disappointed with Garmin, as I've just realised, after 3 weeks of using my new Venu watch, that Training Effect is not included. Running is not a big part of my training schedule, and this didn't really matter with my f'runner 235 that I used for the last 4+ years. Just because I'm not a high end athlete and that Garmin have classified the Venu as a "general fitness" watch, doesn't mean I'm not interested in training parameters and improving my fitness. That's still the whole point of the Venu after all! Training Effect was a target I used to set my focus and effort into my sessions. I can see no reason why a new model watch should not have the same options as a nearly 5 year old model. It doesn't need to be that complicated.
Do you people not bother to read the specs of the device before you bought it? I knew exactly what the Venu offered when I bought mine and that was more a general purpose lifestyle watch not a serious runners watch like a Forerunner or Fenix. Maybe if you spent more time researching the product you are going to buy then you wouldn't moan about it on a forum. Also Garmin like any other country is there to increase sales and profit, why would they put all the functions into all their models as then you wouldn't feel the need to upgrade? Next thing you'll be asking for is all bikes to have Shimano Di2 gearing as you're a cyclist!
The AMOLED drove me to the Venu, I'll be looking to upgrade if they come out if a higher end device with AMOLED. I would also like to see TE on the VENU, but $350 isn't that much to pay for a device that I use this much. I wouldn't mind paying the price of a Fenix to get all of the features, but I prefer a watch that looks as good as the Venu and is as easy to see the display on as the Venu. I think the 5 licensed FirstBeat functions on the Venu vs the 18 on the Fenix are a lot of the cost difference.
