Venu - My 20mm straps that worked for VA3 come off on the Venu

New to the Venu from the Vivoactive 3

Both are supposed to be 20mm and theGarmin websitee lists the same straps for both watches.

I have two different aftermarket Ebay bands that worked fine with the VA3 but with the Venu the “top” connection to the watch has come loose multiple times on both bands.

Anyone else seeing this problem?  I’m going to go back to the band that came with the Venu to see if that is the problem - other option might be to try the pins that came with the venu with my aftermarket band- but I know the pins from these two bands are not interchangeable as one set is thicker so this might not be possible.

Alternative question  - any bands being marketed specifically for Venu - preference is for something in black metal to match the all black Venu I have

    Check the holes on the watches body, make sure the metal inserts are all in place still.  There have been some reports of them coming out, this will in turn make your bands fall out.  If any have gone missing contact garmin as they will replace the watch under warranty.

    Weirdly it was the VA3 that had at least one missing inserts (lugs I called them but "metal inserts" are a better description.
    - but these watch bands did not come dislodged from the VA3.   

    The pins on the included band are not easy to remove without potentially damaging the band - so I am going to try the standard band for a few days although I don't generally like these rubber/silicon bands.  

    Also thinking of ordering some 21mm quick release pins online - to see if that would provide a tighter fit.

    Hi, I had the same problem with almost 20 mm cheap QR straps for my Venu from Aliexpress. I think if exists 21mm, it is not your solution, because there is no room for It. The main problem is not inner width 20mm, but the maximum size of It with the pins. It is because this dimension is other then original Garmin. All QR pins on AE are the same with D1.5 or D1.8, It is enough, the original one is D2. I have no problem. All are 20mm, I measured all. But... There is manufacturing disortion because the Max size is various 22.0-22.7 and this is the problem. You need at least 22.5 maybe 22.4, below this It is not safety. So I ordered about 30 pcs of QR pins separately and some of them about 12 pcs met my criteria. After that I simply replaced that ones with wrong dimensions on the STRAP and viola. Hope this helps.
