Always On Display turns off after 5 min

Has anyone encountered this issue? I have set the always on display to be always on. My gesture setting is off. The watch at first does goes into always on display mode. However, after about 5 min, the always on clock display will turn off.

I want the always on clock display to be always on unless I remove the watch from my wrist.

Anyone please advise.

Which watch face are you running? Not all CIQ watch faces are adapted for "always on" and will go blank after a few minutes.

Hello

Mine does the same even with Garmin watch faces, it goes 'always on mode' after some seconds and then disappear within some minutes of inactivity...

Strange...I have tested several Garmin watches, all same trouble.

This could be due to a more general venu bug. In similar situations I change to another watch face then reboot the watch , pressing several seconds the top button eventually reboots, and then try back the one I wanted in the first place.

I tried to reboot the watch, and changed the face for another Garmin one => Still does not solve the issue.

It turns black after 5, or 10 or even 30 minutes, its is completely random.

I am in 4.00 SW

Have you tried a watch face that explicitly supports AOD? Try the Ultimate Chronograph watch face, it is made specifically for the Venu and has a great AOD display that has no issues.

Hello, I have tried the watch face you mentioned.

Indeed, it solves the trouble, but I faced others problems then : this watch face is quite buggy AND I don't really like it.

When you change to many times some parameters in this watch faces, it becomes unusable, displaying on the watch a nice IQ icon error.

You then must uninstall and reinstall it to make it work again.

I can conclude that it is the faces (from Garmin) I use that have this 'turns off' behavior..randomly..strange.

Hm, sorry to hear you're having troubles with the watch face. Maybe try the version that isn't marked "Dev"? I use the Dev version 24/7 for weeks now, and have zero issues from day to day.

Hi!

The developer has two versions of this watch face in the store - one is his "Dev" version, where he tries out new features, it can be less stable. The other version is the one that is stable and doesn't have any untested features.

Don't hesitate to use the "contact developer" button to send him a message if you are running into a problem - he is very nice and very helpful to fix bugs if they are found.

That's very strange..

I have sent back the watch and order another one (I wanted to change the watch color).

The new one does not have this issue, I mean the AOD mode works pretty well on garmin watch faces...

I really don't understand.

Watch failure ? Firmware corrupted ? special parameters I may set on the new (or on the old) watch ?
