Venu and audibal alarms

Hey

I have upgraded from forerunner 235 to Garmin venu.

In the Garmin connect app, I can set alarms when running where i get told in my headset (connected to the phone) to tell me information when I have run 1 km, 2 km et.

This I cant find for the venu.

Has this been removed?

  • It would be more appropriate to ask on the Venu subforum. Here, there are users of Garmin Connect with a wide variety of devices connected to it, and the setting may vary on each device. In my case (Garmin Instinct), I can set up the laps in the settings of the running activity. It means, first I press the GPS button, select the Running activity, then I press long the menu button and select Run Settings, and then I edit the Auto Lap option as needed. Not sure whether it is made in the same way on Venu, but when in doubts, you can always check the user manual.

  • Ok.

That I get. I have no problem on the match. There it works like a charm.

It is the connect app on Android, where I to the watch (Still in the app on the phone) enable audio alerts.

This is not available under the venu in the app.

I still believe its just as much watch question as app question. What I miss and cant do is in the app.

  • I am not aware of Garmin Connect being abe to monitor the currently active activity, and signalling the laps, and also think it  is unecessary because you can get beeps or vibration at each lap directly from the watch, so getting it from the phone is a bit redundant. Where have you seen that option before?

  • OK, I finally found what you meant. Not sure how is it for Garmin Venu, but I can tune audible alarms for laps after tapping the watch icon at the top of Garmin Connect, then selecting Sounds & Alerts, then Activity Options, and there I can indeed see the options for laps, pace/speed, and for HR alerts. If the laps option is missing in your case, then it is likely not supported by Venu, and you are out of luck.

  • Ok.

Then we are on the same page.

I really liked this about former watch.

Can I suggest this somewhere as a feature request?
