Bug after Bug

First of i relly like the venu. It looks great, feels great and has all the functions i need.

But im getting a bit angry right now due to constant problems.

I charged the watch full last night.Today after a half day i got a warning "battey low" 10%. And in 2 minutes it was completely empty. I could literally watch the percentrage drain down. Had a garmin standard watchface and even cut Bluetooth. Nothing helped. After reacharging battery seems to hold normal.

But then i got this constant flashing of the sensor even when loading. Restart ok. Then the watch lost connection and suddenly it was stuck. I couldnt do anything beside restarting again.

But it didnt return to normal display after restart. Instead it showed strange numbers and then Symbols. Only pushed button for restart worked. Then it didnt even restart for a minute.

Is my watch broken?! I dont want to be afraid every day on work my batterie drains down. 3 times already where i couldnt do anything on the screen and had to restart.

Someone else experienced something similar?

  • For me the optical HR sensor is constantly flashing during charging after FW upgrade to 3.60.

Yep I've had a few issues since the FW update. Battery is worse for sure. Notifications are so annoying they randomly start appearing and you have to clear one at a time drives me insance. Raising to the wrist also takes longer for the screen to appear and sometimes it doesn't even react. I wish they'd test the bloody updates before they go and wreck you head!!

I think now i know whats with the flashing light.

It always seems to appear after training.

When u start a weightlifting workout the heart sensor seems to switch into another mode cause normaly the watch doesnt seem able to detect sudden ups and downs in the heartrate.

I testetd this yesterday and didnt start the activity while weightlifting. Puls hit 90 max no matter how heart the excercise was. So i started the activtiy and puls suddenly up get till 120+ when lifting.

So when u stop the acivity after the workout maybe it stays in this mode.Cause my puls is always in the 100-110 range while normaly moving where its usually around 85-95. Now i tried with restart and magically the puls went to normal.

I think garmin has *** up something big with the software right now. The whole puls, calories thing seems completely messed. Thats maybe the reason as well for low active calories outside of exercising.

  • Problem is that Garmin dosent care. You have to wait onother 3-5 Weeks for the next update.
As an example - the sleep datas is on very device the same crap because the anylytic is on the server. The logic there is crap. They will never change it, the same happens since over an year without fixing.
