Animated workout makes no sense -> NOT USEFUL

A good feature on paper are animated workouts, especial for yoga i want it.

BUT:

The Animation is shown while the timer is running, so it is not possible to go to a position? It seems, no one has tested it and a coder just put the animation to a usual datapage without think about the funktion. Very sad, it is not useful (only for advertising...).

1. a text is shown before the position/workout starts: Position of yoga + running time -> this is the place, the animation has to be!!

2. Then, the animation is shown while the timer starts... Try to make the "yoga cat" within the 10 seconds the position runs ;)

Yoga professionals don´t need the animation (the text is enough), yoga beginners need it, but it does not work (only if you know how the position looks like, but then you don´t need the animation ;) )

    Ok with the OP.

Haha Joy Reminds me of the training functionality within the running app. It was exactly the same with it. But I´ve mentioned all the inadequateness and most of it was solved during the next FW updates.
    So stay reporting Thumbsup

  • There's a little bit of a workaround before you start the workout you can preview all the steps and their animations.

I concur that it would be more logical to show the animation before the workout step starts.

Something that could also work is if you were able to preview the animation of the next step during the rest period... as you're resting you have plenty of time to look at this anyway...

Yes, but in my started yoga workout where 77 steps, not possible to learn with the preview. Makes no sense ;)

    Hello Former Member

Please heed these advice as the functionality of the device will be hugely improved!!!

  • If you touch the screen on a Venu/Vivoactive 4 watch, you'll see the animation right away. It's not too bad: if you know what to do by the name, you don't need the animation, yet if you don't: touch the screen and follow the example.

The fact that there are no breaks is a bit strange though. You can always pause yourself, but still, most fitness apps give you some time to breathe.

  • Problem still exists. Very frustating
