Venu SQ was purchased in late December, 2021 and is now showing ESN and not able to get past this screen

My wife purchased a Venu SQ via Amazon back on 12/29/2021. This morning 07/26/2022, the watch is showing an ESN number and what appears to be a QR Code? In any event the watch was charged last night, and this morning she is unable to get past the ESN screen

Please force the watch to turn off by pressing and holding the top right button for about 20-30 seconds. Ignore any prompt to set up or send assistance. After it is off, let go of the button and give it a few moments. Then, turn it back on by pressing that same button (it should only take a few seconds to turn on). Let go immediately after something appears on the screen, and let me know if it is still showing the QR or ESN screen.
