Venu sq not found when trying to connect to garmin connect

I have tried every fix suggested and am to the point of wanting to return this watch.  Now I cannot even pull up the clock on the watch, it is stuck  trying to pair mode with an app that doesn't recognize that it is there.

1st it wasn't syncing, one of the fixes said to remove the venu sq from my bluetooth connections on my Note 10 and then shut both devices down and try to reconnect.  That did not work.

I have deleted and reinstalled the app.  It seemed to be working, then it still could not find my device.  I reset the watch as a last ditch effort, as suggested and now it is stuck in pairing mode and Garmin Connect still does not see it.

  • I was able to get the watch working BUT I am still getting "We are having trouble locating your device" from Garmin Connect.  I have the watch on my wrist and my phone in my hand.  The only

Troubleshooting fix I could not do is to "ensure that the six digit code from the device is being entered on smartphone when prompted".  Where do I get the code and when does it prompt for it?

  • You need to pair it initially from the watch prompt vs locating it via BT with the phone.

    You’ll want to:

    1. Remove the device from Garmin Connect

2.Forget the device from your phones BT connections

    3. Add the device via Garmin Connect, that’s when you’ll get the 6 digit code to pair from the watch.
