Walk without steps counted

I walk every day.
Today I walked 4.4km but according to my watch I only took about 135 steps, almost identical walk distance the day before was 5,000+ steps.
Can this be fixed?

  • That’s very strange.  What distance does it show you went?  Does it still show the 4.4km?  Did you have GPS on?

Was your watch arm free and moving?  Were you pushing anything perhaps?  I do know it won’t count correctly when pushing a cart or stroller.  But no, you can’t edit your activity for steps after the fact.

  • Thank you for your information.

Yes, it still shows the 4.4km just no steps.

    Yes, pushing a pram.

If it can't calculate steps whilst pushing a pram with walk activated as an exercise, how does it ever calculate steps?

Not a watch anyone with a child in a stroller should purchase. Unreliable at best.

I didn't like the Fitbit but it did count steps whilst pushing a pram.

  • Most of them have this issue as they use arm movements to detect steps.  They usually recommend putting it in a pocket or putting it on your ankle to get the right amount of steps when pushing prams.

  • YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER

This will work on my ankle.

That's funny because I have a dermal reaction to the silicone band, which leaves ugly red welts on my skin,

I thought a while ago wish I could add to my ankle, no one would see it then.

Bonus is when I purchased the watch I received an extra band, will try join them together.

Will let you know how it goes

  • Good luck.  Just FYI, there are tons of different 20mm bands you can buy on amazon that would be better then the bands that come with the watch.

  • We are sorry to hear about the issue you are reporting. The skin irritation may be a result of build-up on the watch band and/or casing. You should discontinue wearing your watch until your skin has healed.
