Wrist Heart Rate Stops Saving After Charging, Leading to Missing Body Battery Data

Body Battery just quit working about a week ago after an update, what can I do to fix it? Everything else works fine, body battery used to work for a year no problems.

I have the Garmin venu sq

  • Hi,

I am having the same issue as everyone here I think.

Missing the heart rate data and body battery on the app since 21/01/2022 included. Got the watch for Christmas 2021. Happy for you to contact me via email and view my account.

I am in the UK but bought the watch in France.

I will reboot the watch this evening

I will do the reboot this evening and check the app version as well

  • All-

We continue to look into the reports of this issue.  When we have any new information on this, we will be sure to post to this thread!

  • Just received my Venu SQ a week ago and it has been working great since setup. Charged it yesterday (1-31) and this morning (2-1) realized it was no longer recording HR, stress, bpm, etc. Came here looking for solutions. Turned HR Auto off/on, that did nothing. Powered off/on Venu and it seems to be working now.

  • I have the same problem. I’ve tried to reset and the first time it worked, but after the last recharge it disappeared again and a reset didn’t help.

  • Same has happened to me so many times I have done what was asked. And was offered a replacement but my warranty would end in March and wouldn't start over again with the new watch. So I'm looking for getting a different watch.

  • This is a major bug, I can’t believe it’s not a priority to fix it when it was introduced with the last update.  Having to do a restart after every charge throws off so much data.

  • Yes, it is.  Unfortunately, it could be worse.  My two prior FIT trackers BIT the dust just after their warranties expired. That other manufacturer offered a discount on a new one that would've brought the price down to the regularly discounted price on Amazon, so I decided to try another manufacturer. This is the second major bug I've stepped in with the Venu since late summer.

  • It’s strange because the first year I had it, zero issues.  Now the last couple of updates have added some major bugs.  I don’t know how it’s not quality control tested.

  • Hi everyone (and Kevin), my VenuSQ was replaced as it was still under warranty, and since then I have recharged a few times with no issues. The ONLY difference between what I did with my old one and the new one is that I DON'T plug it into my laptop at all and only charge at the wall socket (using the proper Garmin charger unit). I may be wrong, but could the problem not be related to charging (and of course synchronizing) with Garmin Connect online? Just a thought....
