What is the best way to record walking routine workouts?

What is the recommended way to record walking based aerobics routines, like Grow With Jo or Leslie Sansone? They call these walking videos, but the workouts also include things like knee lifts, squats, lunges, kickbacks, etc. Should these be "indoor walking" or "cardio", or will either record calories similarly? Same question for HIIT workouts based on these.

  • Hello, I also regularly do the aerobic workouts that you indicate, I record them through treadmill training, I see that it is the most reliable for this and also lets you calibrate before saving in case you observe errors in the distance traveled. My experience with indoor walks is that it does not adequately register the steps taken or the distance traveled and also does not allow it to be calibrated, in terms of cardio that I have tested in the Venu SQ and the Vivosmart 4 for this type of exercises so that the sensor is goes crazy and gives totally crazy and unreal readings

  • I’d try a couple different ones and see which reflects what you’re doing the best since the SQ doesn’t have HIIT workouts.  You could create a custom workout for those walking workouts (and sync to the watch) if you frequently do the same ones.
