Venu Sq periodically displays GPS location when not tracking activity

No, GPS isn’t always on, if it was your watch battery would drain within a day.   Does it show GPS coordinates with a green check mark at the bottom? If not can you get a pic?  One thing comes to mind.  What shortcut do you have when you swipe right?  If “save location” is one of them it’s fairly easy to accidentally swipe right with clothing etc.  

GPS coordinates are displayed but I'm not sure about the green check mark. I'll try to get a picture the next time it happens. Why would that be displayed?

My swipe right is set to music, so that's not it.

You can save a GPS location by holding down the A button and tapping on the red GPS location icon.  I was curious if this is the same screen you’re seeing.

I get the same thing. It shows GPS coordinates and there's a green check mark. I don't know why it keeps popping up (probably once or twice a day). When it does, I can't dismiss it; I have to wait for it to go away. I've turned GPS foff for all activities, and don't want it on at all, at least for now. Exactly what is this display for and how can I get rid of it?

I just found a bunch of saved locations under Navigate, and deleted them all, What I don't understand is why they were there. I've never (knowingly) used Navigate. I wish there were a way to completely deactivate activities. I don't expect to use more than two or three of them.

You can press the B button to get out of that screen.  You can remove widgets by holding down the A button to bring up the widget screen, then hold the B button, the widgets will light up with boxes around them, tap the GPS box and you should see the garbage can at the top of the screen, drag it there 

Also make sure it’s not setup as your swipe right short cut.

I've removed almost all of my widgets and turned off GPS in settings wherever I could find it. But I'm still getting the GPS location screen. I can dismiss it by swiping to the left, but I really would like to get rid of it. Where else could it be coming from?

What’s your shortcut when you swipe right?

I haven't explicitly set anything up. So whatever the default is.

Thats why I’m asking as I think the default is GPS location.  Its easy to accidentally swipe right.  Swipe right and look what you have.  You can change it by long pressing the B button when swiped right.  For instance mine is Garmin Pay.
