Why the longer walks do not save on my watch and cannot be displayed in Garmin Connect?? After pausing it resets with no saving in Garmin Venu SQ. Please help!

  • What are you pressing to save the walk?  After pausing you should see the green check mark to save the walk.  Does it show in your history on the watch itself?

  • Thank you for your reply! So the problem is, that it never even shows on my watch. Is like I finish this walk or press pause, and after when I want to press play again, or it doesn't shows as an open activity anymore, or it simply doesn't work with the play button. And it is only with longer walks.

    Is it possible that in the meantime kind of looses gps connection and it doesn't recognize that I want to continue the activity or similar? 

  • How long are you pausing for?  After 15 minutes it auto saves but you should see it on your watch unless the memory is full.  

    I don’t think it has anything to do with GPS connection….

  • It depends....usualy for half an hour... But it does not auto save, that is the problem...and it happens only with longer walks... I already deleted logs from the watch to make space... I also updated the watch.. i will see if the bug continues to appear next time.

  • Try doing a hard reset (hold the A button down for 15 seconds or so (past the emergency notification message) until it shuts off.  Then long press the A button again to turn it back on.  I find strange bugs are often fixed this way.  I do this every time after I charge.

    Is this button the one on the top-right or bottom?

    And does this only restart the watch or also reset some settings or similar?

  • Top right button.  Think of it as a re-boot, it doesn’t reset any settings or anything.

  • Also have you connected to a PC with Garmin express and synced up that way?

    Yes I have, the Support group of Garmin told me to do so. For now, it looks ok, but however I haven't done any long walks so I don't know if it fixed it. 

    I will see later on. If it was 't fixed, they told me to send back the watch.
