Unable to send workouts to my Venu SQ

I'm a 5 year consumer of Garmin devices, mostly fitness watches. I'm quite familiar with Garmin Connect and Garmin Express, as well as the devices I currently use or have previously purchased.

I'm currently using the Vent SQ. I like the device and it work quite well.

The issue I am having is as follows:

I created a personal workout on my computer using the Workouts feature in the sidebar, a simple walking session. I've created much more complex workouts in the past. Not a problem.

The problem comes when I try to send the workout to buy Venu SQ. Garmin Connect tells me I do not have any compatible devices set up. My Venu SQ appears as my only device under Devices and Sync Status.

The User Manual says "You can create and find more workouts and training plans using Garmin Connect and transfer them to your device.

Is anyone else having this issue? Any remedies for it?

Strangely, I don’t think Walk can be downloaded. Change it to Run and see if that works. And not all types in the following article can be downloaded to every watch.

Thanks for the reply! I got it to sync a custom run workout. It's odd that the support article eludes to only certain workouts being compatible but doesn't tell you which ones are or aren't.

You have to tap on each one and it will show you what devices it works on. For instance, HIIT is only on the Venu 2.
