Can't update to latest version

I was on 2.4 and when 2.5 came, for a very long time it didn't install. After a month it solved my itself.

Now 2.7 is out and I'm still stuck on 2.5.

I start the "search for update" option on the watch and it loads a bit then it throws back to the menu. No error message or whatsoever.

Garmin connect says that update is available and I should sync with the watch. I did that, the message went away and It ways I'm on the latest version.

Now I installed the Garmin Express to my PC and started to update...and it says IT CANNOT UPDATE BECAUSE THE WATCH MEMORY IS FULL!!! And I should delete some .fit files.

Goddamnit! Why can't garmin express (web), or the Android app or the watch say that the memory is full?

Please fix this.

  • So the solution is in the question. I only posted it that if somebody runs into the same error then this will be helpful :)

  • I had the same problem as you, finally installed garmin express on my Laptop and got the memory is full.

    I totally agree that this message needs to be incorporated into the apps as not everyone has a pc/laptop to connect too for this message.

    the fact that neither the  device/connect/connect iq could of given me this message and I had to resort to guesswork and trying the Windows software to update my device is ridiculous.

    Am I going to have to do every software/firmware update on the computer ?
