GARMIN/DATA/FNT takes up 30% of space

I recently was greeted by "memory full - Need to sync to Garmin Connect" after an activity.

So I connected the watch and removed everything from Activity.

But still there was lots of space taken. It looks like GARMIN/DATA/FNT takes up almost 6MB of the 15MB memory

Are these required files? From googling it looks like these are fonts. But a single bitmap font taking 3 MB?

Do others have these files as well?

I checked my SQ for you. I have the exact same fonts so I wouldn’t delete them!

I’m wondering if the fnt files are from downloaded watch faces and if you remove the watch face the fnt file will be removed?

CIQ WF's with custom fonts have the fonts included in the PRG file. These are not them.

If these are fonts they are the ones used by native apps. The thing is theses aren't a single font. More like 7-10 fonts.

No watch faces installed. Just two data fields.

Thanks CindiL. Then let's keep them and delete the Activity Log all 4 months :)

Strangely I was prompted to delete my activity files once because of the memory full message but its never happened again and has deleted them (as it should) automatically as they age over 30 days.
