Venu Sq Music Edition - sensor/camera or bubble below left bezel?

Hi,

Sorry for the noob question, but this is a genuine doubt. I have bought a Venu SQ Music Edition which I love. Recently I've noticed something below the screen's left bezel. At first I thought it was a drop of water, maybe formed after a shower. As it wasn't going away I then thought it could be an air bubble. Now I'm thinking it's always been there and it's perhaps a sensor? Does anyone have the same device and can confirm whether they have this as well? A direct explanation from a Garmin expert would obviously be ideal. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I send back the device!

  • This might be the light sensor, which is used for automatic display brightness adjustment.

  • It's the ambient light sensor.

Hello! Yes, this is the ambient light sensors as the others have mentioned! This helps to automatically adjust the display brightness to an acceptable level depending upon the level of ambient light.  For example, if you cover that sensor with your finger, you should see the display brightness on your watch dim and then increase when you take it off.
