The first image is from the Nike app on my android phone.

This image has an error estimate of around 2% in distance and speed. The path which I follow for running is also mapped correctly.

The second image is from my Garmin Venu SQ which I bought recently. The distance and average pace has an estimated error of atleast 10%. The path which I follow is exactly the same which is shown in the first image but the Garmin image has a very inaccurate path shown.

Any help will be appreciated. Very much disappointed with Garmin Venu SQ.

The path is 400 meter loop and in the final lap I run till my home.

  • Hmm, not sure as I haven’t had any issues.  Do you know what your Nike app is using?  I’d try running it with GPS + GLONASS OR GPS + GALILEO in your activity and see if that helps.  Sync to your connect app regularly.  Maybe someone else will have something else to add.

Also, this article covers improving GPS Satellite reception:

The Nike App uses the GPS and the accelerometer on my android phone. It also uses the the mobile network to track position correctly.

My Garmin venu sq is on "every second data recording" and today I used the GPS+GLONASS setting.

As this is my first GPS watch there might be more settings to look for more accuracy.
