Widget questions

I just got my Venu Sq (I love it!) and was wondering a few things. (I hope it's okay to put them all in one post)

Calendar widget - When I set it up it showed today and tomorrow's events on the watch. I updated my event for tomorrow and it disappeared from the watch. I added new events for today and for tomorrow, and eventually the one for today showed on the watch after probably an hour, but the one for tomorrow still doesn't show up. Is there an issue or a different way to sync?

Pulse ox - How do you do the manual pulse ox reading? Sometimes when I tap the widget it starts a reading but most of the time it just shows the graph. I have only started the readings by accident so far.

Stress graph - Are the tick marks on the stress widget for certain times? It says since midnight but I couldn't seem to match the tick marks to the hours.

Sleep tracking - Is the sleep tracking method the same here as the vivosmart 4? On my vivosmart 4 I almost never showed deep sleep, or it would be single digit minutes, but this one showed a lot (more in line with recommended amounts). However, I also just left a very stressful job a couple days ago, so it could be that. Is the algorithm or whatever the same on both devices?

3rd party bands - I've heard that the Garmin 20mm bands have slightly longer pins and that 3rd party bands tend to fall out. What is your experience w ith this?

  • Hi.

    1. calendar widget. When you update your phone calendar then force a sync with your watch by long pressing the A button and tapping sync. See if that updates it. Or you can open the app on the phone  as sync.

    2.  Pulse Ox. Don’t go to the second screen where it shows the last four hours. Just stay in the first screen where it shows the last reading. After several seconds it will start taking a reading. I find it’s most accurate if I press the watch into my wrist during a reading, otherwise I personally find it’s low.

    3. Stress graph. Since the latest update in the last couple of weeks unfortunately they goofed up the graph and it’s not showing the last four hours but you can scroll back before that. There has been a post about this and I hope they fix it soon.  So it’s nothing you’re doing wrong.

    4. Sleep Tracking  I am fairly sure they all use the same software for sleep tracking.  Minutes of deep sleep definitely seems off though so maybe an issue with your old watch

    5. Watch Bands. It’s true the lugs are a fraction longer on the Venu’s which baffles me but that said I have purchased many generic bands and only had to send back one because it wouldn’t stay on. Most of them seem to have long enough pins.

  • Thank you Cindi! That was really helpful!!
