Any plan to improve the sleep tracking in the venue sq?

I’m considering sending my new garmin sq back due to being disappointed with the wholly inaccurate sleep tracking. Also I assumed that a sleep score would be offered too?

Are Garmin intending on improving this functionality at all?

For most I’m sure this would be a key feature...?

  • Mine tracks mine very well, what is yours doing? Or not doing during sleep? I have read if you have a naturally very low heart rate it may not do as good of a job as I think it uses HR to determine the states you are in.  Have you contacted Garmin?

I found the scoring system totally lacking on my FitBit.  It was always low even when I had a good nights sleep.

  • Thanks.

How would I contact garmin besides posting on here?

For example I had a practically sleepless night on Thursday and it tracked that I’d had 7-8 hours of sound sleep which is just totally inaccurate. It’s over estimating my sleep in a massive way. There isn’t an overall sleep score with the garmin is there? I liked that about the Fitbit.

the other thing, this morning I ran 5KM and it tracked 25 calories, how can that have been so wrong?

I’m really not impressed 5 days in!

    thanks

Hello! I am so sorry to hear of your experience so far with the Venu SQ. The Venu SQ and fitbit certainly measure sleep differently and we do not have the sleep number feature. We do ask that you wear the device a minimum of 7 days consistently so the device can adjust to your body.

Ensuring the Most Accurate Sleep Data

    1. Wear the device at least 2 hours before bedtime and keep it on while sleeping.

    2. Make sure the device's heart rate monitor is on, and the device fits snugly but comfortably.

    3. If you have more than one activity tracker, set the device with advanced sleep monitoring as your Preferred Activity Tracker.

    4. A valid birth date must be saved in the User Settings in Garmin Connect. See Changing Device and User Settings in Garmin Connect for steps to adjust the birth date.

    5. Make sure that your average sleep and wake times are set correctly: Setting Sleep and Wake Window Times in Garmin Connect

As for your calories tracked, is the watch being worn snug, was there an activity started and was it capturing your heart rate? Can I have you plug the device into the computer and sync with Garmin Express to ensure the device is up to date.

If there is anything else I can do please feel free to tag me!
