Turn of the bluetooth

Hi!

I wonder how I turn off the bluetooth function in my Venu SQ (not only to my phone but also to my earbuds).
I want to do that because my earbuds connects to my Venu SQ (since they where the last one connected) when I turn them on and I can't force them to connect to my phone instead. So I want to turn off the bluetooth in my watch to prevent my earbuds to my Venu and instead to my phone.

Any ideas?

  • Long press the A button and tap on the blue tooth symbol to turn it off.  It will go from blue to gray.

There is no Bluetooth symbol what i Can see, but There is a symbol with a phone and Bluetooth symbol which disconnects The connection to the phone, if you mean that one? It doesnt turn off The Bluetooth unfortunately.

  • Yes thats the bluetooth symbol.   Are you saying that with that off your headphones can still connect to the watch?

You can always take off your watch and get out of bluetooth range temporarily (about 30 feet) so your headphones connect to your phone.  Or you can temporarily shut the watch off, by powering it down by long pressing the A button and tapping on the power icon.  Press A to restart the watch.

Yes it only disconnects The Phone. I know that i Can turn The watch off or get out of range from The watch for a workaround, but i want to know if there is any way to turn The Bluetooth off. In The garmin phenix 6 modell you Can set it to flight mode which then turns off The Bluetooth, a feature i Cant find in The venu sq.

  • Interesting.  As far as I know, there is not a flight mode.  I just assumed the bluetooth on/off turned it off for everything which would make sense.

  • Same issue, how do we do this?
it is definitely draining the battery and auto connecting to my ear piece unfortunately.

  • How about if you go into Settings, Music, Headphones on your watch and remove them there?

  • Hey Cindil,

I think there a few similar articles. That is just unpairing, the bluetooth is still on. It is a security hazard, an unhealthy constant noise to the body and draining power which shortens your lifespan and your watch. Unpairing is wasting time to pair it back again.

Imagine your phone. You can just turn off the bluetooth. That's what we need. We don't leave bluetooth off and unpair and pair music after listening do we.

In fact. Airplane mode might be helpful in some cases to give assurance, e.g. gps
