Venu sq vibration

My Venu sq vibration is quite weak even though I have adjusted the setting to the maximum. Many users like me missed the notification frequently.

Can you update the system to make it stronger?or can you let users adjust the frequency of vibration? Such as 3 short or long vibrations or the other options. It should be a small update.

  • I have the same problem, just bought yesterday. I use to track my heart rate and morning alarm which I could barely feel.

Most of Garmin watch does not have a speaker and should compensate on the intensity of the vibration otherwise this is as good as no vibration.

I am a loyal Garmin with 4 watches from fenix 3, 6x, and Edge 850, other more..now I regretted this Venu against Apple watch..

Why Garmin itself is not replying something in response into this trend after 4 months?

There was a response from  earlier in the thread, right after the initial post...

Hello! I can send this feedback to my team regarding your experience with the vibration.

My take in this is that the device is working as designed, so any request for change would be implemented in a future model, assuming enough users request this in order to warrant a change. I'm not sure if this can be fixed with a firmware update. If you want more than that, you can open your own support case here - https://support.garmin.com.

  • Did you turn it up to the highest setting?  Mine wakes me up every morning with the vibration but maybe I’m a lighter sleeper then you.

HI there! Our posts seem to get lost sometimes. I can assure you we do care. I have sent this feed back to my team. I like to update if I have any new updates that are beneficial to you guys and when/if I do I will post here! Happy to answer any other questions, just tag me!
  • As a side note let me say that I changed the vibration from medium to LOW, and it is totally fine. I pay attention a little more, but it saves more battery and it is enough.

Wake up alarm is good, the notifications during running is good, so....I never missed anything. I think it is not weak, maybe you just get used to a very very strong vibration, but this is not a global error. This is only your subjective preference.

Maybe this is commonplace but you need to get used to it.

  • The main reason I bought this watch was to stop missing calls but I am not being alerted to texts and phone calls because the amount of vibration is practically zero.

    Very disappointed.

  • I have to say I bought the Venu 2 also this year and in comparison, the vibration is WAY stronger.  Like loud at the highest setting.  I can probably turn it down.

  • Hi,

I just purchased a Garmin Venu SQ and I must say I am a bit disappointed with vibration: too low - at least for me - and especially on phone calls just 1 single vibration is not enough (my previous non-garmin smartwatches use to "ring" as the incoming phone call)
I read some previous posts in the group, but it seems me that this is the situation with the SQ: can somebody confirm me this, especially about the single vibration on phone calls?
Moreover, does anybody knows if this is a specific issue of the Venu SQ? I mean, do other Venu "non SQ" have exactly same vibration behavior? Does anybody have experience with the Vivosmart series, especially the Vivosmart 4S?
I was thinking to sell the SQ and take the Vivosmart 4S, but I would like to avoid having same issue :)

Thanks to who will be able to help!
  • Yes I am sorry to say I can confirm the SQ vibration is pretty low, though I did get used to it over time.  And yes, only one vibration with incoming calls.  This is true of the whole Venu line I can’t say if it’s true of the Vivo line but can say you’d probably be pretty disappointed in the Vivosmart display after the beautiful display of the SQ.  I did buy the Venu 2S recently and the vibration is very strong I’m happy to say!
