Unable to delete all music from Venu Sq

I am unable to delete music files that I manually downloaded to the watch from my Windows 10 PC. I can download music files OK from my PC using Garmin Express to the watch, but the only way I can delete files is by deleting files via File Explorer on my PC. Even then, not all of the artists/albums show as file folders. The music plays OK on the watch, but since the music storage is limited, I need to be able to delete existing files on the watch. And yes, I can add new music OK using Garmin Express, and I know how the music part of Garmin Express works, including the bottom remove file part, but none of the files already on the watch show up in the remove file area! The Garmin Express version is 7.2.2.0. I have restarted the watch and nothing changes.
