Venu sq Strava sync problem

I had a venu and after completing a run Garmin connect synced with strava and in strava i could are that my workout was done with the venu! Now i switched from venu tot venu sq, removed ofcourse the venu from connect app, nut now after completing and syncing no device is shown in Strava, where it should say venu sq! Any Idea how to fix this? Thanks!

  • I'm also having issues connecting my sq music and strava. I've disconnected and reconnected on both apps and still can't get any activities to export from connect to strava. 

  • Since I switched from SQ to the normal Venu everything works great! I think it really is a sq problem! 

  • This is disappointing as I purchased the watch for the purpose of recording and exporting activities. 

  • May I ask, do you own a sq or a sq music? My issue was with the sq, at the same time my wife had a sq music and she had no problem at all syncing to strava etc!

  • Okay, if I was you I would take it back and replace it! 

  • I am having the same problem with my new Venu Sq. Although activities are synced to Strava, in the specific activity the Venu Sq is not shown as used device. However, in other activities it does show my Edge 530, so I think it is a problem with the Venu Sq and Strava (maybe because it is a relatively new device and not yet recognised by Strava?).

  • I do not think that the problem is that the device is not recognised by Strava since the sq music from my wife does show up on strava as the used device! Very strange problem this is! 

  • I am having the same problem with my venu sq, I reported it to Strava at the end of November.

    "Thank you for contacting Strava. Sorry the data from your device is not being recognized properly on Strava. We do not have this device mapped in our system yet - which can cause your activity statistics to appear differently from what you see on the original platform you use.

    I've filed a ticket for our engineers to add this model to Strava. Thank you for your patience."

    I have since contacted them again as my frined' sq music works fine.

    "Thanks for checking in. Unfortunately, our engineers have not had a chance to address this situation yet. The holidays are a difficult time to handle tasks such as these since different people are often on vacation at different times. However, the task remains queued to work on and we will do our best to have the situation resolved as soon as possible."
