Hi,
Can somebody help me with my disappointing Garmin Vector 3 problem?
Christmas 2018: I was happy with my new Vector 3's
2019: I used them happily
2020: Covid happened, didn't used them in the spring/summer. But in the fall I biked with some periods in between and noticed quick battery drain. I blamed it on the cold and replaced them, also bought the CR1/3N. The problems kept returning but I blamed myself for not tightening correctly, the cold, moisture et cetera. I didn't noticed the 2 year guarantee date passed :(
Then I read the ongoing reports about the battery rubbing and contacted Garmin in februari. I gave Garmin a month before it was clear I needed to remind them and I got the new batteryboard.
It was may 2021 and I was troubleshooting my Vector 3's for a couple of months. They only saw a year of usage. The new batteryboard didn't worked and I asked for a solution. Garmin offered me a replacement for 300 euro's. I thought this was crazy for a year old Vector and threw them angrily in a corner.
Last fall I decided to give them another try. I needed to glue the body because it was falling apart (also a known problem for this nice expensive gadget). As Garmin won't offer me a reasonable solution I am looking for some real world solutions.
Has anybody got a nice idea how to repair the (left) pedal which drains within a week?
Thanks!
