Should I remove the batteries from my Vector 3 pedals when I'm not riding?

I inserted brand new fresh batteries in my Vector 3 pedals a few weeks ago. Today I went for my first ride using them and I received a notification that the battery poser was low. I am using Energizer 357 batteries. I was told that they are compatible.

  • I've never used Energizer, they are LR44 and use two per pedal. I use Duracell 1/3N - one per pedal. I don't remove mine unless I'm not expecting to use the bike for a considerable time (summer bike over winter). I also remove mine if I'm transporting the bike incase the movement causes them to turn on. I certainly would expect batteries to last more than a few weeks of inactivity. Did you purchase from a reputable dealer? Internet batteries are often counterfeit - especially if cheaper than normal.

  • Thanks for your reply.

    I'll give the 1/3N a try.

I did purchase the Energizer 357 batteries from a reputable source.
