I have bought a Tacx turbo trainer and I already have a set of Vector 3 pedals.
If I don't pair the pedals with my computer will they switch off?
Or will I need to remove them from the bike to stop wasting their batteries.

If they are moving then they are awake. If you really don't want the batteries to drain while you are on the trainer just pull the batteries.
Great thanks, I'll probably just remove the pedals while on the trainer. I don't like opening the battery compartment. The plastic threads are very delicate.
I’m having trouble understanding your solution. In fact, I’m having trouble understanding the problem…
How do you ride the trainer with the pedals removed?
I use my outdoor bike on my smart trainer.
I don't want to waste the batteries on the the vector 3 pedals while using the trainer.
I don't want to have to remove the vector 3 pedals while using the trainer because this takes time.
I don't want to remove the batteries every-time either because the plastic threads on the battery compartment are very susceptible to getting stripped (i have already had the vector 3's replaced because of this).
I would like to switch them off but this isn't possible.
So instead I have to remove them every time I switch from outdoor riding.
This isn't really a big deal I just thought there might be a simple way to switch them off, which there isn't.
Thanks
Gavin
And by remove i mean swap them for my non power meter pedals.
