Myself and many others have calibration failed issues. Is it worth buying a Garmin computer to diagnose and perhaps fix the calibration failed issue? If so which computer?
Details:
I have had the Vector 3 pedals ($1000) since July. Out of the box they worked with my Wahoo ELMT Bolt, but the calibration was off. I eventually tried to calibrate them, but after that they no longer work. The Garmin Connect app and the Wahoo Bolt, both recognize the pedals, but can't calibrate them. I just get "FAILED", no error codes and the pedals don't flash any errors.
I have brand new 2L76 batteries and washed the contacts with alcohol, but did not have mineral oil to coat them. The left pedals shows green leds when I wake it up. The Garmin Connect app has the firmware at 3.6. The app also has the right pedal led green, which I assume means the left is connect and the right is connected to the left.
There have been lots of posts, but no solutions. I am thinking of buying a Garmin computer, just to diagnose the issues, since I don't get error codes with the Bolt or the Garmin Connect app. Would the Garmin computer give the error codes and perhaps calibrate the pedals.
