Vector 3 suddenly dead

While I was on a ride vector 3s stopped working, I tried to remove/add the same batteries didn't work. I changed them with new batteries again didn't work. It seems the garmin 520/fenix 6 pro could connect for a while but didn't work. Using calibrate I could see some numbers changing but again nothing no power, no cadence. I use them only for a few months and also the cleat of my left shoe has a little play. Are vector pedals so bad? The problem is that I can't return them I guess I will have to get replacement and I'm afraid I will have again the same problem.

If I turn the pedals by hand I see the red light turns on every x seconds. If I connect the pedals using my android phone and BT it can connect to vector 3s and retrieve info .

Hi, friend, I have a similar problem, the pedal just falls asleep and then wakes up, and so every time, I’m tired of giving a lot of money for the Garmin and disappointed every time, most likely I’ll switch to Favero + Wahoo

Hello, thanks for the reply. The problem is that the red light turns on but it doesn't really connect or sending any data, no watt/cadence. I could just replace it under guarantee and sell it if vector is so bad.

unfortunately all garmin products that I have been using for the last 4 years are disgusting ***, starting from the vector and edge even, I don’t know where else to turn, none of the support is responding

They told me they replaced battery door. Isn't supposed the newer battery doors to work without problems?

Afther 2 pairs vector 3 pedals I ask my money back and buy the assioma pedals, I use these now for one year and have zero problems.

It's too late to return them but I might try to sell them. Seems like vector will break again very soon again. Some other cyclist I have asked they have had their pedals replaced 3-4 times until now. When warranty is over you have to drop them to trash. In my case they replaced the battery door which was already "the new battery door".

My original Vector 3 pedals were replaced under warranty in May of 2020. I was required to send the defective pair back. The replacement pair also stopped working in less than a year and 500 miles, and Garmin is offering to replace them with a refurbished set for $300. Why would I pay more money for a product that is clearly defective? Shame on Garmin for recycling a defective product. The Quarq power meter on my TT bike is awesome, no issues. The Garmin Vector 3 pedals I was using on my road bike are nothing more than a headache and are going in the trash.....
