Left pedal: Red LED is always on & not vector3 not discoverable

I just changed batteries after the winter and while the right pedal is working fine (blinking 3 times in 15s intervals) the left pedal is just SOLID RED. No blinking, nothing. as soon as the power connects the led is SOLID red. Does not matter if it's screwed into the crank or not.

I can't find the left pedal in connect or with my edge 820 (which worked last year). So.. what's up? Did the left pedal die over the winter, standing in a 21° room? After the whole firmware fiasko, the battery door and the battery drain that would be a fitting end... how long is the garmin warranty on those?

I'm not sure exactly what solid red means.... but I'm guessing its bad. I would suggest calling Garmin support right now and see what they say.

Funny, it's not documented in the Owner's Manual. But at least, it means there is a power source, or the light wouldn't be on at all!

Did you try resetting the pedal? That involves removing the battery cover, then replacing it.

Also, did you "wake up" the pedals by rotating the crank three times (you can go backward)? Did that have any effect on the red light?
