I got Vector 3s and they didn't work out of the box. I contacted customer support which, in addition to being rude, told me I needed to go buy mineral oil in order to get my pedals to work out of the box. Sorry, but after paying 999 for the pedals I shouldn't have to go spend more money to get them to work. This did get me to thinking that my pervious Garmin purchase, an Edge 1030, also didn't work out of the box and Garmin customer support solution was also to go spend more money to get it to work. My first Garmin product was a Forerunner 405 that I got about ten years ago and I have owned a bunch of stuff in that time. Unfortunately with the newer products I have been had to contact support more and more and the support experience is just awful. This round was really the last straw, Vector 3s are on their way back to Garmin and at this point I don't see myself returning for a customer. It's unfortunate given how good the products used to be.
