I've had the Vector 3's since start of January, upgraded to 3.0 and using an Edge 520. Had some trouble with dropouts after the first month, but electrical tape in battery case helped. Now having problems with permanent drop outs - if I put new batteries in the pedals flash red once or twice, then last for a short time. A couple of weeks ago they were lasting a week or so - approx. 20hrs, now lucky to last for a couple of rides. Changing them yesterday they only lasted 45 mins. Looking on the Edge starting ride the battery life was Good. Then they just disappear and I can't connect to them at all.
The right side seems to stop working straight away, for the last few rides I unpaired them on the Edge, only using the left pedal. I'm using LR44 batteries. Although the original tape has come away, I've replaced and made sure its in the correct place. Also checked the connections are correctly raised, and there is no sign of fretting on batteries. I did try updating to 3.15, downloading the beta software onto the Edge, but when connecting with the pedals, couldn't see an update.
Any suggestions?
