Got my replacement pedals. Now getting constant drop outs and spurious power spikes

I recently got a replacement set of pedals because of the right pedal battery issues. Today was my third ride on the pedals and I got the error message that the right pedals was missing about 20 times on a 50 mile ride. I also got a complete drop in signal so that the power and cadence disappeared for up to 5 seconds. Lastly, on yesterdays ride I got a max power peak 22,000 Watts. There were several of over a thousand. Today I got a max power peak of over 2,000. What is going on? I am very frustrated. On the rode I unscrewed the batteries and put them back and reset the entire system but still all of the above kept happening. This is absurd and really screws up my training values.

I tried my brand new Vector 3 on my training trip to Fuerteventura and I have the same problem. They are useless. Did send my three FIT files to above e-mail yesterday after my third ride where even unpairing the right pedal and using the left only was useless, showing either way too high watt or zero, only occasionally seemed correct. How can a €900 product be this useless?

I totally agree. They are useless. I rode the vector 2 for a few years and they had minor issues when they were released but nothing as bad as this. I still have not heard back from Garmin. Bad company.
  • Did you send the fit file to [email protected] that tsmit requested? Looks like to me they responded pretty quick :)

What do you mean you haven't heard back from Garmin? The second response in this forum is asking you to send your file to someone at Garmin so they can assess what might be wrong. Something seems a bit amiss about this.

Had my forth ride today. For most of the ride I had 0 Watts. Average power is 23W over 129 km with 1882 m elevation gain...
Here is the .FIT file if anyone from Garmin is looking. Also note that according to my Edge 520 both pedals were connected and working with good battery. Now what is INTERESTING is that bike cadence seems to be working on all my rides. So in other words it can't really be battery issues, because if so, how could it transmit cadence (I have no dedicated cadence sensor on my bike).

Now what is INTERESTING is that bike cadence is reported correctly for all my rides. So can it be a battery issue if cadence is working? (I have no dedicated cadence sensor on my bike)
