Is there a reliable way of connecting Vector 3 via bluetooth?

I am running a pixel 2, I try to connect my pedals to the Garmin Connect App, I turn the pedals 1/2 a rotation, the lights flash red then green, the phone says they are connected, I click the Device Settings menu, then it says they are disconnected. This game repeats a couple more times until the App crashes. Has anyone got a reliable way to connect the pedals?

Specifically what are you trying to do? To use the pedals via BLE (eg. for Zwift) you do not need the connect app. The connect app is only used for configuring the Vector 3 settings such as pedal linking and things like crank length, if you are not using any other head unit.

Not just me.
That makes me feel better.

I found that by removing the vector 3 then re-adding I could connect the pedals to GCM. Which is a handy way of checking for sensor errors, battery levels or toggling on/off cycling dynamics etc.

Thanks for the update. Based on our current understanding of this problem, that should be possible, but it will be more or less a random occurrence one way or the other. The upcoming Vector 3 maintenance release will correct this behaviour going forward.

Note that when you connect to a head unit (bike computer or watch) that can also control Vector 3 settings such as crank length, cycling dynamics, and other parameters, the head unit settings will override the previously applied GCM settings.
