Calibration Failed

I calibated my Vector3's on my 1030 (latest firmware) before my ride today. It failed. Do you know why?

  • There's a sticky note at the top of the forum that provides the encoding scheme for all the reportable errors.

Error 1024 denotes a right-side calibration timeout. This can happen for a number of reasons:
    1. The right side pedal has gone to sleep or it wasn't awake (or connected to the left) when the calibration request was made/
    2. The right side pedal was experiencing a variable force input during the calibration attempt.
    3. The right side pedal detected motion during the calibration attempt.

The most straightforward approach to remedy this error is to retry the calibration, while making sure the pedals are stationary and unloaded. If it fails again, give the pedals a spin to ensure the right side is awake, then retry the calibration.
  • Thanks. I could well imagine the right side pedal was asleep. I'll try again and let you know if I see it again, thanks
