Right pedal dead & complete drop outs every 2 mins for 30s

I've previously posted here about my issues, but now the pedals are pretty much useless.
- Batteries in right pedal last one ride or a couple of days (mustn't turn off?).
- Left pedal drops out every 2-3 mins for 30s plus. Reports massive power/cadence spikes when it does come on.
- Pedals are on latest firmware and have been removed ages ago from GMC app.
- This happens on both a Garmin Edge 520 and Wahoo Bolt.

I reached out for formal help to Garmin via the support submission/email 5 days ago but have yet to receive a reply.

This is not acceptable! What can be done to resolve this ASAP?

    ================

I have the exact same symptoms on every ride, so I can see many other customers in this forums.

I never signed up to test the pedals, I feel that their testing is being done on us, the customers that trust them and buy the products first.

I find extremely UNFAIR to be sold a defective and expensive product.
    I am disapointed.

A statement from Garmin offering a product RECALL (or replacement with a correct redesigned product) would be a decent and needed act from Garmin.

    Sincerely

  • the pedals also said I was standing a lot except I was always seated

I have the 3.15 beta installed

Did you use your 935 to do a zero calibration? Unfortunately Zwift does not have a calibration interface, but Vector will not produce reliable numbers without at least one manual zero calibration after installation.

If you did record your date with the 935, can you post the activity .fit file?
  • I have my edge 1030 and yes I did it.

for the moment I did 3 rides with 3.15 :

first ride went OK : it was outdoor : I had once the right pedal missing, gone after 5 seconds
second rideon zwift : lots of dropouts here is the link : (I was pedaling the whole time (see the cadence dropouts) https://www.dropbox.com/s/knujtln3ma58zzz/2600531435.fit?dl=0
third ride was outdoor and terrible !! : lots of spikes and dropouts, right pedal missing every 30 seconds power and cadence not working during minutes here is the ride : https://www.dropbox.com/s/kviuununz1pmbv4/2607253631.fit?dl=0

Your right side pedal is showing a lot of resets and there are a couple on the left as well. Have a look at the battery holders and make sure nothing is out of place. The voltages are good on both sides... just seems to be intermittent.
  • I've never opened the battery bay, the pedals are brand new with the original batteries in it. Will have a look
