Connection and Battery issues with Garmin edge 1000

@Vector-Info : Before yesterday's ride the vector 3 could not connect to the Edge 1000. After removing all sensors, switching off GPS, it was recognized together with other sensors.
During the ride Edge 1000 gave me a notification: Vector 3 batteries are low. Checking the details, it showed battery status: good. In the GCM app, the vector 3 batteries were shown as good as well. So I did not replace the batteries.
Went on another ride today, it paired flawlessly (battery status: good). During the ride the connection got dropped again, battery status notification came up again. From this point: sometimes connection came back, sometimes it got dropped, without any consistency.

Garmin edge 1000 14.60
Vector 3 2.30
Temperature: 4-5 celsius

Do you need any fit file or debug logs?

Could you post the FIT file for the activity?

The battery voltage for Vector at the end of the ride is reported as 2.5 Volts with status of low. Were you seeing data drops prior to low battery warning?

Before the warning, no I have not seen data drops, everything was consistent. The battery levels were shown as good both in GCM and Edge 1000, this worries me a bit :( . In general is there a way to figure out, which side's batteries are low?

    What I've experienced:
It was really hard to get the pedal conntected to the edge 1000, seems instant on edge 810 :/
The issues just started a day ago on the 1000, before that I had no issues, maybe once it took a while to find the pedals, but eventually it did.

What I did just 5 minutes ago: Replaced batteries in the left pdeal (I have just 2 LR44), removed from pairing with the 1000, tried to re-add -» no success, it did not find the vectors.
Tried to add to the 810-» it found immediately.

It sounds like the memory on the 1000 is messed up in someway. I would recommend performing a reset of the device and add the sensor back in.

You can save off the screens, segments, course, records and totals so that you can restore them.

Connect the Edge to a PC and backup the contents of the following folders.
    Garmin\Courses
    Garmin\Locations
    Garmin\Sports
    Garmin\Segments
    Garmin\Records
    Garmin\Totals

Next perform a full reset (see below). After it has completed the reset place all the saved files in the Garmin\NewFiles folder and go through the process of adding the sensors back and any phone pairing you had.

Non-prompted Non-Vol Clear - Clears NV and deletes all FIT files including Activities, Courses, Workouts.
    • Turn device off
    • Hold Lap/Reset and Start/Stop
    • Press and release the power button
    • Continue to hold only Lap/Reset and Start/Stop
    • Release Lap/Reset and Start/Stop when the Garmin Logo is cleared
    • The unit will restart and clear non-vol

Thanks. Actually, went ahead and did it already. Looks like Vector 3 is back (woohoo). Could it be caused by connectIQ apps? I was using an extra data field called power+ (shows current and AVG power on the same screen).
    I have two more questions:
1st: even if I did a full reset and I've removed the conenctIQ apps from the garmin express, they are still showing up on the device, when editing the activity screens. Do you have a solution for this? -I'll give another try through GCM- UPDATE: GCM worked. SOLVED :) :)
2nd: sent you a pm about the battery cover.
